The temporary single lane, bordered by a concrete barrier and flexible bollards, is part of the traffic management across the bridge.

The driver tries their best to keep to the left side of the lane, keeping their distance from the big concrete barrier to the right, however, they repeatedly strike each individual bollard to the left.

The car eventually slows right down after driving over one of the bollards, which gets caught beneath the vehicle.

The bollards merge into a low concrete barrier which the driver then runs over, bringing the following traffic to a stop.

The car then suddenly brakes, bringing the traffic to a sudden halt.

People on TikTok shared their mixed reactions to the video, with several people relating to the struggle of driving on the narrow lane.

"I remember driving on the Harbour Bridge for the first time, I'm a country boy and it was a bit nerve-racking going in between the narrow barriers," one person said.

"It is really scary being so close to that wall on the right," another admitted.

"Every time I drive on that bridge my eye sockets are bulging and I just hope for the best," one woman added.

Others wondered how the "terrible driver" was allowed to be driving.

"If people can't drive in that lane I'm concerned about driving ability because the trucks always do it fine," one TikTok user commented on the video.

"Just watching this is making me have an anxiety attack, the damage being done to the car is also making me scream inside," one woman said.

"I don't understand how some people get their license," another said. "This takes the bait".
